A Love Letter To My Lord

My Friend Debbie     "We love Him, because He first loved us," 1 John 4:19 (KJV).

"Nothing shall separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus," Romans 8:38- 39 (KJV).

"Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love, therefore with loving kindness, I have drawn thee," Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV).

"And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him," 1 John 4:16 (KJV).

Lover of my soul,

I sit in my quiet place, waiting as I still my spirit so I can sense Your presence. I feel Your arms around me and the very air becomes heavy with Your perfume. Your love for me has caused me to blossom into a beautiful flower. I am overwhelmed with Your desire for me.

Let me bathe in Your love that springs forth as a geyser from the depths of Your being. May I be drenched in its sweet purity as it permeates every part of me to the very core of who I am.

I thrill at the sound of Your voice, it is all consuming. It causes time to stand still and hold its breath until You have poured out Your heart to me. My Friend Debbie Everything around me seems to evaporate into a mist of unreality as Your presence saturates the very air I breathe, and all that is around me and within me. I am intoxicated by the scent of love emanating from You, my Lord. It melts my bones and I cannot stand in Your presence.

I call You Husband, for You shelter me in Yours arms of protection, You provide for me all I need, and more. You listen when I speak, comfort me in sorrow, rejoice with me when I am happy, admonish me when I step away from You, and love me enough to guide me back to Your waiting arms. There is no limit to Your love. It has no boundaries, for it the Alpha and Omega love. It has no beginning and has no end; it always was and always will be. It courses through my veins as a rushing river flowing endlessly over the rocky crevices of my life. I, myself, cease to exist as I take up my life in you, and we become one.

When I consider You, my Lord, my mind rests in Your loveliness and my heart thunders praise. It raises a silent anthem to Your name, a love song of purest delight. You pour Your love over me like anointing oil. It absorbs me to the core of who I am, and who I am is forever changed by it.

May my love for You never be tarnished by the things of this world, nor tainted by any fame or fortune, grief or pain. I want to give that place in Your heart, set aside just for me, joy unspeakable and laughter divine. It is my desire to present myself to You as a bride without spot or wrinkle, pure and holy. May my love for You delight You throughout all eternity.

     I wait in great anticipation,

          Your future bride and queen
