Fresh Peach Cobbler

Summer is here and so are the peaches. Here is a delicious recipe that will make great use of all those summer peaches.

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 cups of sugar, divided
  • 3/4 cup of flour
  • 3/4 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of sliced peaches

Directions

Melt butter in bottom of 2-quart pan or baking dish. Combine 1 cup sugar and flour. Add milk and stir until mixed well. Pour over butter in dish, but do not stir. Combine peaches and remaining sugar (1 cup) and spoon over batter. Do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Author's Note:

This recipe is reprinted from my Grandmother's church cookbook. Special thanks to the Little Rock Women's Ministries, in Waynesboro Mississippi, and to Shirley Fay Graham who contributed this recipe.
