Walnut Toffee Bars



Walnut Toffee Bars     This is a great treat for get-togethers! Everyone will love these bars! This recipe is so easy and only takes 15-20 minutes. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chocolate chip pieces


Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. In mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy.
  3. Stir in flour, salt and 1/2 cup walnuts.
  4. Spread into the bottom of a lightly buttered 9x13.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Immediately remove and sprinkle with chocolate pieces.
  7. Let stand 5 minutes and then spread them out over cookie base.
  8. Top with remaining walnuts and lightly press. Cool and then cut into bars.
