Banana Nut Bread



My Friend Debbie

Ingredients:

     1 cup butter or margarine
     2 cups sugar
     2 tsp. vanilla extract
     2 tsp. lemon juice
     4 eggs
     2 cups mashed bananas
     1 tsp. salt
     3 1/2 cups flour
     2 tsp. baking soda
     2 tsp. baking powder
     1 cup sour cream
     1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

     Cream the butter and sugar. Add vanilla and lemon juice. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Add bananas. Sift flour, baking soda and baking powder together. Add alternately with sour cream to banana mixture. Fold in nuts. Pour in 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.
