Swedish Apple Pie

My Friend Debbie This delicious recipe is from Pirkko Lee .

All the Shedd girls working together makes this go fast!

Ingredients:

  • 6-8 Granny Smith apples, peeled and cut

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1 Tlb. sugar (mixed      together for topping)

  • 1 1/2 sticks butter, softened

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 chopped walnuts

Directions:

  1. Place apples in greased pie pan until almost full.

  2. Sprinkle cinnamon/sugar mixture on top of apples.

  3. In separate bowl, mix butter, sugar, flour, salt, egg, and walnuts.

  4. Spread over apples and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown.

Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream!

**I have tried for years to master a good pie crust to no avail. This recipe was my answer to making a homemade apple pie!**
