Permanent Marker Removal

Recently I left my daughter in the church office while I was in a meeting. With paper and a pen I thought she would be set for a while. However, she decided to look through the office desk for something more exciting: a red permanent marker seemed to be what she was lacking. When I returned to the office there were several red permanent marks on the beautiful conference table. What would you think could remove permanent marker from a wooden table?  I thought it would be impossible, maybe the table even ruined. However, I quickly did some internet research, seeing what I could try and to my amazement a simple eraser was the suggestion.  My six year old daughter took one eraser and I took another one and before we knew it we had removed all the permanent marks from the table. Luckily we finished right before her Dad came back in the office! whew
