The Best Barbeque Baked Beans

My mother always made the best baked beans ever. As I’ve grown older and am responsible to feed my own family, she has shared her secret with me. Our children loves these and when our son, Garrett comes home for college, this is one of his favorite dishes that he loves for us to make. It’s simple but it’s good.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large cans of baked beans with smoke flavor
  • 2 Tablespoons of Welch’s Grape Jelly
  • Spoonful of brown sugar
  • 1/2-1 cup of Barbecue Sauce (we like Sweet Baby Ray’s the best)

Directions:

Use a cast iron skillet if possible, otherwise a regular deep skillet or pan. Open the cans of baked beans and add the other ingredients and stir. Allow to mix thoroughly and simmer on low for a couple of hours. Stir well before serving hot. Delicious!

Note: You may want to serve this with garlic mashed potatoes and a meat of your choice.
