Date-nut Balls

This recipe has been around at our family holiday gatherings for years. They are easy to make and delicious to eat. Rich, buttery and sweet!

Ingredients:

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 box chopped dates
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 cups rice crispies

Directions:

  1. Melt butter, sugar, and dates in pot over medium heat mix well.
  2. Remove from heat add stir in pecans and rice crispies.
  3. When it cools enough to touch roll into bite size balls (you´ll have to squeeze the mixture in your hands to form the ball well).
  4. Roll in powdered sugar.
