Make Thanksgiving Meaningful

If you want to provide some conversation starters to your thanksgiving table this year, try this little tip:

Put five kernels of corn beside each place setting and ask each person to share five things they are thankful for this year. Before each person shares, explain the significance of the kernels--that during the first year that colonists came to America they were running out of food and had to be rationed to five kernels of corn each day.

Encourage each person to take delight in all the bounty that the Lord has provided for them on their thanksgiving table and to truly express thanks from the heart.

It’s a great way to hear from each person about the things they are most thankful for this year and make thanksgiving meaningful with friends and family.
