My Pleasure
Our family enjoys eating at the popular Chick-fil-A restaurant. This quick service restaurant is known for its cleanliness, delicious food, fun play areas, and making you feel highly valued as an individual. Every customer request is met with a smile, prompt service, and always the ubiquitous response, “My pleasure!”
One morning during my devotional time with the Lord, He gently spoke to me about the way I respond at times to serving my own family. If complete strangers at Chick-fil-A© find it their “pleasure” to serve me; and my Savior Jesus Christ came not to be served but to serve . . . (and gladly!); then I need to serve my own dear family with the same attitude.
So . . . the next time your three-year-old runs to you needing yet another cup of cold water on a hot day, or your hungry 10-year-old boy wants something to eat, or your tired husband just needs a back rub, why not answer with “My pleasure!”?
God will be faithful, and soon your words will become reality!
