Nags Head Recipes:Best Ever-Clam Chowder



A favorite recipe from Nags Head, North Carolina!

Ingredients:

  • 6 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tsp. anchovy paste (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. dried thyme
  • 46 oz. canned clam juice
  • 1 1/2 bags frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed or unthawed
  • 51-oz. canned chopped clams
  • Oyster crackers

Directions:

  1. Add anchovy paste, clam juice and potatoes.
  2. Cook until potatoes are tender.
  3. Serve with oyster cracker.
