Oh the Comfort of Friendship: Newness

A brief New Year missive of newness to each and every one of you…my friends near, my friends afar…my friends of old, my friends anew.  And you are spread across God’s great earth faithfully ministering in the venue God has called you to. You are my friends too, yes, each one of you who are reading this now.

I pray my mighty Pappa dazzles you with His heavenly hope and sprinkles joyous laughter into your homes, your work places, and, most of all, into your hearts.

My passionate desire is that the Jesus Christ flashes His magnificent Spirit, breaking new paths everywhere, revealing His personal and burning love for you.

Oh, how I wish I could look each of you in the eyes and say, “Thank  you” each one of you for the beautiful creation that you are. Thank you for all you’ve done for me and been to me.  Gifts eternal, you are.

“God’s call of outrageous love is to abandon all personal agendas and to follow Christ with glad hearts.”  Sheila Walsh penned this inspirational thought…a thought I plan to reflect upon this New Year.  May you know God’s divine, furious love!

Yes, my dear friends, know this…

God wants you to fly.
He wants you to fly free of
yesterday’s guilt.  He wants you
to fly free of today’s fears.
He wants you to fly free of
tomorrow’s grave.  Sin, fear, and
death.   These are mountains He
has moved.  These are the prayers He
will answer.  That is the fruit He will
grant.  This is what He longs to do.

Happy New Year

With the Lord’s abounding love, I wish you a Happy New Year!!
