It's All About You, NOT!
Many times, we get too focused on our own goals, our own agendas and our own purposes, that we unwittingly lose focus on those around us, causing us to forfeit the wonderful blessing that others are to us and that we are to them. The best way to make a better you might be to not think about you at all. I have found that through the journey of my life, God makes a better me by providing ways for me to be supporting and loving to others.
A life contributing to the happiness or smiles of another is a sure way to make yourself a better you. The commitment to make time for someone else takes a sacrifice, which is something our culture doesn’t necessarily support.
You don’t have to designate days or weeks at a time to volunteering or helping another. These acts of kindness can be short and sweet and the Lord can honor your intentions to make the effort just at the right time and just for the right reasons
God always has each action in the palm of His hand knowing just what a Christian brother or sister needs and at the right time. The Love of Christ can far outreach our earthly intentions and touch even those who need to be closer to Christ. By doing so, God may be using you to accomplish His ultimate purpose. As you rise in the morning contemplate the purpose of your day and how you can make a better you by fulfilling God’s plan in your life. . . and you just might find that it’s not about you at all.
