Family Night
It was one wild, crazy night! On Friday's we have a standing commitment called "Family Night." I usually make homemade pizza's and we either watch a video together with the kids or play games. Earlier that day, I thought it would be fun for us to have a dance party with our three children.
I told everyone they could choose their own outfit and then we would meet in the den to rock the night away. Wow, what a treat! When the music started everyone went wild, including my husband and me, since most of the songs were tunes we had grown up listening to. We danced, scooted, and twisted the night away with our kids!!! I think I lost at least five pounds.
If anyone would have come to our door that night, I don't know if we could have explained exactly what we were up to with our ridiculous outfits (especially Alan's and mine) and our crazy dance moves, but it didn't matter, we had a ball!!!
Having a dance party was definitely an opportunity for our family to come together, let our hair down and just enjoy a fun time together. No matter how silly or ridiculous we looked, I'm sure it's a night our kids will never forget.
