Dressing For Post-Holiday Sales: Get Comfortable and Get Ready

My Friend Debbie     Making choices and taking chances is key at a time when fashion is moving in dozens of directions, all at once.

It's a season of change, not only in clothes, but also in the way we think about them and how we wear them. Are these options liberating or confusing? Romantic or chaotic? The answer depends on how adventurous you feel. What's certain: This New Year the possibility exists of truly individualizing the way you dress. No single look, length or logo defines the season, and the only rule is that there are no rules.

What better place to start making choices than taking advantage of post-holiday sales? But first, what to wear? Layers are essential. Start with something lighter, like a camisole. Next, a beautiful blouse or top, and then add a piece that's heavy but loose, so you can take it off as needed. Next, slip on your softest, favorite jeans or pants and some low heel comfortable shoes. You're set to scoop up items you'll need to complete your wardrobe and at the same time, be kind to your budget for the New Year.

May your New Year bring precious gifts of optimism, enthusiasm, laughter and especially hope, peace and God's richest blessings.
