Nancy Slocum

One of four siblings, Nancy Slocum was born into a Navy family and started out in Coronado, California. While growing up, this afforded her a rich and diverse experience of living in many different states of America and overseas in Cannes, France. Midlothian, Virginia (near Richmond) is where she resides now. She is the proud mother of two beautiful and wonderful adults.

Creativity has always been a driving force in Nancy's life. Joy abounds when she is expressing that God-given gift to create whether through: writing, art, combining words and images, cooking, entertaining, setting a beautiful table, decorating, fashion, make-up, gift wrapping, finding ways to inspire, bless and encourage people, or finding creative ways of doing something or solving problems.

Nancy received a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Maryland in College Park. Some of the creative fields she has worked in are: custom needlepoint design, fabrics, home decorating, furniture, custom framing, beauty consulting, and filming Christian interviews for www.BeautyFromAshes.TV. She spent eleven years designing for World Art Group, a global art publisher in Richmond, Virginia. After leaving that job she turned to pursue writing, her true passion and calling.

Throughout life, Nancy was blessed to have many unique and very special women mentors. Their investment in her life nurtured a hidden gift and desire to inspire and encourage others to authentically become all God created them to be. You could say that Nancy is a "spiritual cheerleader." In later years she received a divine and unforgettable life-changing vision for her calling to be "A pen in God's hand giving LOVE a voice". She started a blog called "God Whispers" at: www.Nancy777.com. Her passion is to share with the world those prophetic words, dreams, visions, and revelations the Lord speaks to her heart by His Holy Spirit. Her journey is all about living out the holy mandate she received by God's Spirit when He said, "FEED MY SHEEP, DAUGHTER! In this I am well pleased and ever present."
